Learning About Cartooning

Growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s, I was a big fan of cartoons that had characters and objects drawn with heavy lines. Also, I liked that they were making call backs to Hanna-Barbera Cartoons by using simple shapes to design characters, objects and scenery.  “The Fairy Odd Parents” and “Dexter’s Laboratory” are two shows that I can think of that shares this style. I really wanted to do this style, so I checked out Christopher Hart’s book, “Cartoon Cool: How to Draw New Retro-Style Characters”
